Hello!

My name is Rosalind Jovanna. I’m from just South of Boston, MA and currently living in Brownsville, Brooklyn.

I have been making art for my entire life, beginning with drawing and then moving to painting as well. I was given a camera for Christmas my freshman year of high school, and it’s been almost exclusively photography ever since.

Some of my favorite photographers include Ansel Adams, William Eggleston, Joel Meyerowitz, Vivian Maier, and Graciela Iturbide. When I was young, my favorite artists were painters like Monet and John Singer Sargent. I am drawn to the idea of making moments immortal through art and the most difficult thing to make ever-lasting is light, especially natural light, so any artist concerned with that kind of representation of things is of interest to me.
